What is this?

Funny Sounds is a free soundboard that lives in your browser. Every sound button plays the moment you touch it: farts, laughs, burps, boings, bonks and the meme sounds you know from videos and games.

It works on phones, tablets and laptops with nothing to install. There is no sign-up, no chat and no cookies. Your favorite buttons are remembered only on your own device.

Think of it as a funny sound buttons toy and a meme soundboard in one: silly, never rude, and made for kids and the grown-ups who press the buttons when nobody is looking. A note for parents.

Are the sounds free?

Yes. Every sound button is free to press as often as you like. There is no sign-up, no subscription and no app to install.

Why don't I hear anything on my iPhone?

Check the silent switch on the side of the phone. When it is on, iPhones mute sound from websites. Then turn the volume up.

Can I play several sounds at once?

Yes. Sounds pile on top of each other, and pressing the same button again restarts it. The Stop all button, or Esc on a keyboard, silences everything.

How do I share a sound?

Press the link icon under a sound. On a phone the share menu opens; on a computer the link to that sound's page is copied.

Can I download the MP3?

Some sounds can be downloaded, and those show a Download MP3 button on their page. All the others are free to play here as often as you like.

Is it OK for kids?

Yes. The sounds are silly, never rude, with no swear words. There is no chat, no uploads and no cookies. The scream is loud, so try it quietly first with little ones.
